Okay, you may have noticed I haven't had a weekly preview and may have missed a recap. Once again, the grind of the hockey season seems to overlap the grind of my day job. Normally, I can find some time to do the research and writing while in down time at work, but we have a major project going on the next few weeks and I don't have enough time during the day. And to make matters more complicated, I am in the process of moving, so things are a little crazy when I get home. I guess it is also frowned upon to write articles while driving.

So this week and probably next week, you won't see much published on the website. After that things are still up in the air, but I'm not foreseeing the situation lasting as long as last season. Anything important or interesting I'll post on Facebook and Twitter. If anyone has any questions or something to share, those are the places to get in touch with me. Also, I'm in section 222, Row A at every home game. For those who don't know me look for a skinny white male, roughly 6'0" with glasses, and usually taking pictures or video with a cell phone.

Also, I've been asked by a few people and have seen some comments about the lack of updates by the team. This is especially the case during road games where there are no social media updates and no recaps after the game.

I am not affiliated with the team in any way, so I have no real insight to share. I've tried to do my best to live Tweet the road games but this weekend I can't guarantee much. Hopefully I'll have internet up at my new place on Friday (we're rooting for Team Spectrum for that).

Another good example is there was no news of defenseman Aiden Gallacher coming off injured reserve and returning to the lineup last weekend. The league's transactions page and the USHL Hockey Ops Twitter feed were the only places that was made public and they were a day late, Gallacher played and was suspended before they even posted it.

One or two season ticket holders and fans have also mentioned the lack of email updates on promotions, etc. For me, this has been the case since before the season started. It's frustrating but hopefully the new ownership group will improve as things go forward. I heard a few people grumbling about the jersey auction after the last home game, the game that the time was moved up due to the weather. That was completely unavoidable and I think they did the right thing in giving the fans there a few jerseys to bid on and saving the rest for when more people would have a chance to get involved.

I also know some people are still frustrated with the goaltending, the poor starts to games and a lot of the on ice stuff. I don't really want to get into that today. We've had a few really bad games. I know, I was at the 11-3 game in Plymouth. We're still a little ways from the trade deadline and we're in 3rd place in the East with a lot of hockey still to play. The team is fine. We've also had some pretty good games and bounced back from a bad loss last Friday, getting a pair of OT/SO wins Saturday and Sunday.

I'm going to leave it there, I don't want to get into a lot of analysis or sound like I'm unduly criticizing the team and management. Again, I am available on Facebook and Twitter and I would really appreciate some feedback from the fans out there. What do you guys think? You can hit the contact link and get my email or send me a private message on social media if you don't want to say something in a public forum. Anyway, thank you for your support and GO PHANTOMS!
