Some brief bits have come out about a couple current and former Phantoms and NHL training camps.

First, Nathan Walker has had a bit of puck luck. He's currently at the Washington Capitals camp. He's listed as part of Team C, which is mostly prospects and a few AHL guys. An injury to Brooks Laich, however, has him potentially playing as a wing on Team A, the top group. He'll be on a line with Troy Brouwer and Chandler Stephenson, another prospect who got promoted due to Mikhail Grabovski's visa issues.

Things didn't go as well for John Padulo. He was 3rd over all in points for the Phantoms in 2012-2013 and tied for 2nd for team assists but he was released yesterday as an amature tryout from the San Jose Sharks camp. I guess they're blind, he's a great agitator and has some pretty good hockey smarts.
